Festival FAQs: 

Q: How do I get to the festival?

A: Peachtree Corners Town Center Green,

5140 Town Center Boulevard

Q: Where do I park?

A: Free parking is available in the Town Center Parking Deck or on-street within the Town Center. Additional parking is available off Davinci Court (3720 Davinci Ct, 3715 Davinci Ct, or 2745 Davinci Ct).  There is parking at the Forum across the road and a pedestrian bridge to walk across busy road to event.

Q: Do I have to register?
A: Yes, Its FREE!  Everyone can PLAY…you just have to register!  Pre-registration link- PRE REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE ENTRY TO THE DOG TOY HUNT GAME & A FREE DOG TOY (limited supply).

When you arrive at event--go to the Registration Booth to swap your online FREE ticket for a PLAY wristband.

Q: Do I have to register separately for each dog that I bring with me?
A: Only register the humans.  One registration per human.  And then the human can bring their dogs!

Q: Are only rescue dogs invited?
A: ALL DOGS & THEIR HUMANS ARE WELCOME! Rescue Dog Games is a festival to celebrate all dogs and the unconditional love they give!  Our purpose is to shine a light on pet adoption--get people to come out to adopt a dog at one of our many pet rescues!  We also celebrate dogs by encouraging all dogs and their humans to get outside and PLAY!

Q: What happens if it rains?
A:  It wont!!!!  But....Your dog won't mind....and this is all about the DOGS!  We will see you out there at our rain or shine event and festivities.   Let's all vision a sunny beautiful day to help SHINE a light on pet adoption!

Q: What Health Precautions will be taken?                                   

A:  We ask attendees and dogs to stay home if they are sick or have any symptoms of COVID-19 or any contagious illness , and to get tested for COVID-19.

We ask that attendees cover coughs and sneezes and wash hands at the available hand washing/sanitizing stations

Q: Once I pre-register online/ do I have to check in once I arrive?
A: Yes, please go to the Registration Booth.  You will then be given an entry wristband and entered into the Dog Toy Hunt & get a dog toy (supplies limited) and can participate in all the fun.  This will allow you to PLAY the games

Q: How do I participate in the Dog Contests:                                          A:

Q: Does my dog have to be on a leash?
A: Yes, please have your dog on a leash at all times, except in the fenced area games.

Q: Does my dog have to be up on his/her vaccinations?
A: Yes, you are required, for the safety of your dog and others, to be up-to-date on all of your vaccinations.  When you register--you are acknowledging that your dog is up to date on all vaccines in order to participate

Q: Will all the dogs get along?
A: That is our plan; after all it is a day to celebrate dogs… and they can feel that! If there is a dog that is not being friendly or does not share this positive point of view, they may be asked to leave. Bring your friendly dogs that enjoy being around a crowd.

Q: Can I attend without a dog?
A: Of course, but we really hope that you will leave with a new best friend, or at least the start of your adoption plans through one of our Pet Rescues. There will be many onsite with lots of adoptable, sweet lovin’ dogs that need homes. Adoption is certainly not limited to those without a dog…we are all about a many dog family… so everyone can come ready to meet your next best friend.

Q: How can I get to know which dogs are available for adoption?
A: Plan to hang out with some adoptable dogs at each of the adoptable organizations' booths and meet your next best friend.    You can also meet all of the Pet organizations and rescues that are on site to get to know ways that you can help throughout the year!

Q: Are the Dog Game Stations difficult?
A: NO, they are fun! All dogs can PLAY and Learn (you just have to register and have a participation wristband)  The game stations are to have fun with your dog!

Q: How does the Lure Chase work?

A.  The lure chase is run by one of our community trainers, but the $5 fee to participate in this FUN event for your dog helps make the festival happen. The Lure Chase and the Dog Toy Hunt are down Pup-A-Razzi Lane at the dog parks

Q: What is the schedule for the day?
A: The games/activites go throughout the day--so you can join in any time from 11 am - 5 pm.  But, be prepared for the CONTEST TIMES (see details)

Q: Should I wear a costume?
A: Well you don’t have to, but your dog should wear a costume in order to enter our Dog Howl-O-Ween costume contest !  And it is always a big hit to have matching outfits with your dog!

Q: Do you need volunteers?
A: YES! Please contact us at [email protected] so we can coordinate your volunteer work with us.  You can volunteer as an individual and/or as a group. Thank you for asking!

Q: Will there be food and drink?
A: Yes, enjoy all of the fabulous restaurants and join us at the Bone Bar for drinks

Q: How does the Contests work?

A: Please see the details below for each contest. Sign up onsite for each contest you want to enter. 

IF you are entering one or some of the contests--you need to pre-register-get your PLAY wristband AND at Registration Booth--sign up onsite

Costume Contests:  sign up @ Registration Booth

Wiggle Butt Contest:  sign up @ the Ruby Vet Booth

Silly-Or-Not-So-Silly Dog Trick Contest: sign up @ Ahimsa House

Winners will be announced from the stage at each contest time!

Doggie Costume Contests: Two divisions:  Arrow Exterminator Large Dog @ noon/ Hollywood Feed Small Dog @ 2 pm

Celebrate Halloween together--let your dog strutt their costume in our costume contests:

Two Divisions: Small & Large Dogs!
Just like at the dog park — you pick the one that fits your furry friend best.
(Generally, small dogs are around 25 lbs and under.)
Prizes, laughter, and plenty of wagging tails guaranteed!

For both contests:  Stop by the Registration Tent to show your pre-registered festival ticket in exchange for your PLAY wristband AND enter into contest and then get lined up at the appropriate time for the large or small dog contests

1. Enter the Large Dog Costume Contest no later than 11:45 am onsite at the Registration tent

2.  Line up for contest at 11:55 am

3.  Show off your costume!

1. Enter the Small Dog Costume Contest no later than 1:45 pm onsite at the Registration tent

2.  Line up for contest at 1:55 pm

3.  Show off your costume!

Ruby Vet Wiggle Butt Contest:

Show off that adorable Wiggle Butt, that is displayed to you when you come home everyday....Everyone can win this one.. A family member is to excitedly get your dog to show off their happiest wiggle butt...practice up for the big show down!

Three times during the day:  Stop by the Ruby Vet booth to enter into contest and to do your "wiggle butt try-out" for them.  The top participants will be invited to the stage to perform and win!

1. Enter at least 15 minutes prior to each Wiggle Butt performance time--at the Ruby Vet booth. (you must have a Play wristband to participate)

2.  Hang around until performance time, top participants will be texted to let you know you are to come to the stage at that performance time--meet at the stage right away!

3.  Show off your best Wiggle Butt at:

1:00 pm & 4:00 pm

Dog Trick Contests-Silly or Not So Silly-by the Ahimsa House:

Show off your Dog Trick--this is NOT a professional trick contest--we are looking for all silly and not so silly tricks!

Two times during the day:  Stop by the Ahimsa House booth to enter into contest and to do your "Trick try-out" for them.  All dogs must stay on a leash for their trick. The top participants will be invited to the stage to perform and win!

1. Enter at least 15 minutes prior to each Trick Contest  performance time--at the Ahimsa House booth. (you must have a Play wristband to participate)

2.  Hang around until performance time, top participants will be texted to let you know you are to come to the stage at that performance time--meet at the stage right away!

3.  Show off your best Dog Trick at:

11:30 am, 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm
